Inspired by Nature & Craftsmanship

I’m Darren, a UK-based coloured pencil and graphite artist specialising in wildlife art and realistic animal portraiture.

Nature is endlessly inspiring — from fleeting moments in the wild to the quiet details often unseen.

I aim to capture not just likeness, but character, emotion and atmosphere through careful observation, patience and a deep respect for the natural world.

Each piece is a connection — between the subject, the moment, and the story it holds.

Behind the Artwork

Every drawing begins with observation, structure and patience. I document much of the drawing process through sketches, progress studies and time-lapse videos, capturing the gradual development of each piece from the first layers through to the finished artwork.
